   N8 user agent 3.0 and 5.0

If you want to enjoy full web browsing like on your desktop, or you want the same internet experience as on the iphone, you can achieve that with an easy sis-files installation. Make sure the browser is closed and then install the file you want. It will let you choose which User Agent you want to use, of course you can only select one of them!

The "N8 User Agent 3.0/5.0.sis" can be installed as often as you want, no need to uninstall to change the UA, you don't even have to restart your device! Switch the UA in seconds!!You can easily uninstall it, to restore your original browser user agent!

Example I:

If you are using the default N8 User Agent "[ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط]" will automatically redirect you to the mobile version of that page ("[ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط]"). If you install my mod and choose the firefox user agent, this won't happen and you will get the full version of [ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط]!

Example II:

if you are using the Firefox user agent and go to "[ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط]" you will not get redirected to mobile version. That means the full youtube website will show, but the full version also needs full flash support (symbian doesn't support full flash support!), so most videos won't work!!You can still go to "m.youtube.com" manually and all videos will run as usual.

Flashing tutorial



You dont need anna files on c:\program data\nokia\packages\rm-596...

1) Copy all belle files to RM-596 folder

2) run phoenix select no connection

3) Go to File again and select Open product

4) Search for N8 by putting RM-596 Click OK

5) Click flashing < firmware update

6) A new box will pop up click on square on product code line. Select the appropriate firmware. Make sure detect phone automatically is UNCHECKED

7) Click OK

8 ) Tick dead phone usb flashing

9) Click options

10) Delete EMMC and ENO file which are highlighted in red colour

11) Click OK

12) Hit refurbish

13) You will see some instruction you need not to follow it just hit OK

14) Make sure your phone is not connected to computer till now...antivirus and firewall is off and mass memory and memory card are formatted.

15) Turn off your phone

16) connect it to usb and it will start flashing IF NOT remove it Press power button for 8 seconds till you feel 3 vibrations and connect it immediately within 1 second so it will start flashing...

Bugs reported and solutions



1) notification widget cannot access missed event

Solution= Copy [ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط] files on their respective folders in C drive and

 Remove the folder c:\private\200159c0\themes\ ... After removing that restart your phone,

Your homescreen setup will be reverted and it will show critical error after restart just ignore it..

 add widget and it will going to work.



2) Not able to change theme effects

Solution= Copy [ندعوك للتسجيل في المنتدى أو التعريف بنفسك لمعاينة هذا الرابط] file in C:\ resource\ apps \ effects

You need to make "effects" folder in C drive...

After copying file put your theme effects in E:\ effects and replace existing





Will rectify this in next version ...
